The Heritage Jazz Tourism Festival
Heritage Jazz is now on the verge of venturing into the tourism field by bringing in tourists from across the globe to Goa, to witness the rich music, art, culture and heritage of Goa. By taking music to Western capitals, we intend to capture the imagination of international travellers by selling the core idea of the richness of Goan culture rather than just selling beach, sex, women and song. It is about upgrading the idea called Goa.
With our Rain or Shine, Konkani Rocks programme a grand success, we are also soon going to venture into a broader concept of Rain or Shine, Goa Rocks, thus encompassing each and every part of Goa into a grand push for global travellers who would love to see Goa in the best part of the year i.e. the monsoons. With this in mind, we are partnering the Tourism Ministry and the GTDC in conserving water since water is the vital ingredient for any economic activity, more specifically, tourism activity. By conserving water as the core idea, we intend to bring this whole thing to centre stage, thus showing the great interest that the Goa Government has too, for environmental upgradation. It all starts with thought, and this is where we are today, to translate this thought into action via high profile activities over the calendar year.

His eternal quest has been to create interest among younger audiences who tend to be inspired more by musical themes and influences from the west. For the love of his mother tongue, he wishes to reach out to people internationally through his music and envisions his mother tongue Konkani going global.

Talking Drums by Carlos and Friends
Carlos has jammed with some of the best musicians in Goa and India, even “busking” in Ireland. His music, his sound, his feel; it’s all derived from his experience, his inspirations and his life. All of that is unraveled when you watch him play and listen to him gently. Carlos has been an integral part of Goan music, a percussionist par excellence who, is on the drive to make percussion the main part of a song, where the other instruments are the backup and not the other wya round.
