Babush Santana

Babush Santana (Drums, Violin, Trumpet, Vocals): Babush santana is a legend in his own right. He tarted his career at the age of eight and turned professional at twelve, conducting his first major concert a 14 piece band in bombay and has since carved a niche for himself in the field of music.

A graduate in violin from the Trinity College Of Music, London, Babush and his brother, the legendry Jazz Saxophone Great the late Joe Santana shared the privilege of being the only band to have represented India on four occasions at "JAZZ YATRA"- THE International Jazz Festival. For a number of years Babush and Joe Santana organised "Just Jazz" concerts once a year in Delhi until Joe's untimely death.

Widely acknowledged as one of the most popular music directors in the world of theater in Delhi, he has arranged and composed for the stage productions of MY FAIR LADY, STARLIGHT EXPRESS, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, MATILDA- comprising of his own compositions and arrangements AND the magnum opus LES ISERABLES to name a few.

Babush is at present working on a Jazz album which has music composed and arranged by him and features his niece Laura Santana.
