S Harikumar is at ease with his seven-string electric violin. Besides Indian classical music, Harikumar has also learned the nuances of western music. This has helped him evolve a fusion genre, which he calls Indian jazz fusion. He is an outstanding young violinist from Thiruvananthapuram and a disciple and torch bearer of violin maestro L Subramaniam. This amazing jazz violinist has recorded two solo albums: Breathtaker, and a jazz fusion album and Janaranjini, a Carnatic album.

The sheer brilliance of this magician on the violin, and his breathtaking fiddle playing is sure to mesmerize the audience and be the highlight of any festival.

S Harikumar seen with legendary violinist Jean Luc Ponty in London September 2007. Will they be performing together soon? Maybe we should request Harikumar to make that happen.
